This painting was the first time I started mixing the paint directly on the surface of the canvas. I am always inspired by how the colors blend and emerge from each other, and how they visually react to what they end up next to.

This is a painting of a sunset over the lake where I grew up. Sky and water blend together blurring the horizon line.
Grand Canal
This painting was inspired by a photograph that I took in Venice. It abstracts the dock posts that the gondolas tie to, and the mists floating off of the canal.
