URG Touchstone

By completing a physical merge of the teams that have made up the distinct operations of Urban Renaissance Group and Touchstone, the combined organization will share a space that respects the mutual values of transparency, approachability and integrity. The shared workspace will amplify the resourcefulness and creativity of each individual group.

Authentic, uncomplicated materials and a rich warm palette will express the character of Urban Renaissance Group + Touchstone. Natural textural elements executed with function and simplicity in mind will respect the Northwest spirit and exude a refined and creative energy.

My role in this project included space utilization studies, Test Fit, SD, DD and CD’s.

The project started with several bubble diagram studies to get the progression of spaces to where the client required.

The direction the client chose has the Open Office zones and Collaboration Area taking advantage of the windows and natural light for the employees. The Boardroom is directly adjacent to the Café at the skylights.

The client wanted strong branding upon entry, and a Conference Room off the elevators. The angled wall helps differentiate the client path from the private work zones.

The finish palette of the space is to reflect authentic materials, with a nod to the Northwest.
